Insurance and Staying Safe:

I am fully insured with Morton Michel childcare insurance for Public Liability.

My house has been inspected by Ofsted and has passed the safety standards which allow me to become a registered childminder.

My premises including the outside area, are secure and children are not able to leave unsupervised. Children will be under my supervision at all times.

I have smoke and carbon monoxide detectors on all floors, fire blanket and extinguishers in the kitchen.

Equipment and toys are frequently checked and any dangerous items repaired or discarded. All dangerous materials, including medicines and cleaning substances are stored out of reach.

Children do not have access to any cupboards storing hazardous materials including matches.

Electric sockets in areas accessible to children are fitted with socket covers. All windows are locked for safety, with keys hanging up by every window. All glass in my home is safety glass and has been checked by Ofsted.

Paperless System

I have a complete paperless system and all my policies and procedures are online and updated regularly.

To do this I use Babysdays. Babysdays is an amazing online software system allowing Childminder's to complete all areas of the EYFS quickly and efficiently. Their EYFS Software Application is complex yet simple to manage, designed and developed to assist you with the forms and paperwork involved around all areas of the EYFS which includes the structure of Learning, Development and Care.
